Ben has seen… Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened

While not quite the ‘you think you know the full story, think again’ experience promised by a lot of reviewers (most of this was in the news at the time) Fyre is worth a watch. The footage of Billy McFarland steaming headfirst toward such an almighty balls-up is the perfect illustration of his arrogance. What the film is missing is a deeper examination of whether he started out with actual criminal intent or just an excess of unearned frat boy bravado. Simplifying McFarland as the wax-moustached bad guy lets everyone else off the hook far too easily.
