With incredible all-set-up-for-the-new-year energy, I forgot to do a post for the first Monday of the year. I didn’t even think about what I might want to say. Should I tell you about the episode of Star Trek: Voyager I watched last night? It featured somebody delivering the lines, “It appears that Nelix was attacked. We don’t know how it happened, but someone has surgically removed his lungs.” Is that the sort of thing that would interest you? massive spoiler, but in case you were worried, Nelix was fine by the end of the episode. The aliens that had stolen his lungs modified half of somebody else’s lungs and transplanted them into him. It’s hard to come away from the episode without at least considering why the aliens didn’t just take half of Nelix’s lungs in the first place, if that was always an option. but I suppose if they had stolen half a lung we would only have got half an episode.
By the way, if you think the word lung appeared a lot of times in the last paragraph, just wait until you see the episode.
You probably don’t want to hear about that though, so I’ll just say Happy New Year again, and be off.
